Post ride, the data is easily uploaded from the App to CATEYE Atlas™, Strava™ and TrainingPeaks™. ![]() Sensor Direct mode syncs the Strada Smart directly with the Bluetooth Speed, Cadence, Heart Rate and Power sensors, so important ride data is always available. When smartphone use is not an option, Sensor Direct mode can be used as a back up. The Strada Smart can work with Bluetooth Smart Speed, Cadence, Heart Rate and Power sensors in this mode. The phone is kept in sleep mode, preserving the battery. Phone call and email alert icons are also displayed. In Mirror mode, the smartphone records ride data and transmits a copy to the Strada Smart. The Strada Smart is mounted on your handlebar or stem, while the smartphone is stashed out of harm’s way in a pocket or saddle bag. I find the display hard to read at times, as it is not huge, but that is because it is not huge, it is small! I keep buying them, so I must think they're the way to go.The Strada Smart connects with your smartphone through the CatEye Cycling™ app. 1 x CR2032 battery life is about a year for me, these cost about $3. Then it started to read speed and cadence wrong or just show zero in one or both cases. In a fairly heavy rain the contacts between the computer and mount will short out, you have to pull the computer out and blow the water off to get it displaying again. who is using wired CatEye Strada Cadence I got one in Dec 2009 (3 months ago) and my bike shop installed it (so there is no finger pointing) and it only worked for a few rides. Installation is pretty easy, however you may not like the aesthetic of all the wires running along your bike's chainstay and downtube. Until that happens, its great!! It is the mount/base component that is at fault due to soft plastic. My beef is that after a couple of years the computer will no longer sit tightly in the mount and begin to slip and fail to read signals, sometime later it will fall out entirely, esp when bumped lightly. The GF and I must have 5 or 6 of these going on all the bikes. These are a very popular computer, can't believe no one's reviewed it. ![]()
